That fabric looks straight from the 1960s! Nice! I think my mom had some fabric like that in her attic when I was a kid. We used to go up there and explore all the time. :)

And THOSE SOAP DISPENSERS ARE COOL! (The lights.)

I can't believe they are still chain-pull lights! Fascinating!
I love how the colrs frame the window. It is really pretty Mr. Motts. :)
Did that standing water smell? I know when my dish-drainer gets full of standing water it stinks to high heaven and that makes me want to gag...and clean it ASAP lol.

I can't imagine the damp and moldy-mildewy smell in this place.
LOL Mo...you stole my comment!

That is REALLY creepy because when I first looked at this, I did NOT see any ghost anything painted anywhere, but then I looked again, and it really almost magically (or ghost-ily) appeared right in front of my eyes.

Now I have the willies. Brrrr.
Hmm..WIllie Wonka reference...nice lol! I grew up with the original movie (the 1970s was a great decade),,,

Those stairs look like they are in REALLY good shape!
I love the pattern on the floor too. Those vents or whatever they are creep me out a bit though.
This IS an incredible shot! I love the pattern of the wooden wall on the wet floor...it is creepy and beautiful at the same time.
Wow...Lonely chairs aren't so lonely are they? :D
LOL @ all the comments!

Ninja chair...
HHHIIIYYYAAAA!!!

Take that, Evil Bed and all your Evil Bed Cronies...

DUH DUH DUUUUH!! The power of the chair triumphs again! :)
HAHAH Tiny! I am only about 2 inches taller than you and I also feel so small next to some of Motts' pictures. :) That is the beauty of it though. :)
When I look at the white patch right over the chair, I see (within the white) a face...a ghostly face almost demonish.

Rorschach (sp) anyone?
It looks like a circa-1930's car doesn't it? Like a Bentley or something lavish like that.

I remember being in a psych ward and how terribly boring and long the days were. You basically had meals to look forward to (they broke up the day at least) and MAYBE activities in the evening...IF the staff let you go.

Long, boring days that were all the same...THAT is what haunts my dreams still.
Eeek...now THAT Is a door.
OMG I can't imagine putting our almost 12-year-old in one of these places...I shudder at the mere thought of it!

What could you have possibly done to warrant such an extreme punishment as that?

You don't have to answer Valerie...but like the others, I too am curious about how a parent could do that to a child...
Wow.

Now that is scary...and interesting.

I just watched "Ghost Hunters" (whom I personally call The Idiots or The A$$hats) and they actually went into this hospital and got all sorts of freaky happenings. I didn't believe one second of it. They are such MORONS and FAKES!

I think I read that you don't usually have any experiences yourself in these places, right Motts? I told my hubby (who is sick of hearing about the "Wonderful Mr. Motts" now lol) that I would believe YOU over these idiots any day, though I think that some spirits can linger here because of the history of the place...but they are just FAKE. :)

Have you had any experiences here?
