Sadly, I just read about the eminent demise of this grand old lady and it's heartbreaking. Mr. Motts, some of your best work was done here. Some of the most emotional and passionate comments and debates were made in these galleries. Your photography will be an important & invaluable resource for future generations. I sincerely hope that future generations will learn how destructive vandalism & theft is to a historic building. RIP Norwich.

I agree with redinkreign. When I saw the thumbnail for this I thought it was a stained glass window. Awesome artistry.

I find myself gasping at just about every photo in this gallery. Incredible, Motts.

I would also be afraid to sit in this theater. Look at how the seating is arranged. The seats are lined up straight., not like in between seats, if you know what Im talking about.. I probably couldn't have seen the screen with many heads in front of me..

I guess, some of the clean/ unused diapers, or if there are some in unopened packages are re-usable.. right? I mean to recycle.. lol

I've corrected the description, thanks!

The Connecticut state seal consists of three grapevines, not "Charter Oaks"! On the fireplace you photographed, the Charter Oak is represented by the two large trees flanking the crest, but are not shown in the crest itself. Just a correction from a Connecticut-ite!

Actually, judging by the angle of the wheels, it looks like it was rolled up to the doorway and stopped there. That would definitely hint at it being a standby.

I wonder why they left it there, of all places.

sooo amazing
Excellent shot.
All your photographs are beautiful and really captures the true scenery around you, its a shame what people had to go through first before beautiful photographs could be taken. All the while I have been looking at these photos my music changed on to a song by Daughtry and it just made such a feeling that I put it on repeat.

ps:
the song is called
Daughtry - Life after you.
