I am a recovering Mottsaholic, but there is nothing wrong with coming back for a taste once in a while. Last year of college allows only for so much time.
This place looks like it was only abandoned yesterday. Those windows are just immaculate not to mention the whole place is a marble palace. I hope this place does not end with a fate like Danvers.
Haha, Yay! someone who knew the State's motto. I"m from CT and the little plants in the seal are olive branches. I Love this site and was suprised to see how many hospitals were actually in my boring little state. Keep the pics comming!
I have to say I have mixed feelings about the demolition of some of these sites.
On the one hand, it will be a shame to lose them. On the other hand, however - many of them have outlived their usefulness.
I think the true sin in this isn't the demolition of abandoned and decayed buildings - but the abandonment to begin with. Allowing such treasures to rot away until there isn't much left that can be done aside from tearing them down is the true "crime."
strange to see images that represent so many feelings carried through so many years... sorry to be the crazy poet head, i identify with each twist of the rusted metal spring... spring carries on outside, yet sadly locked away.
OK, so I have a tendency to get addicted to message boards, so I have been avoiding posting on your site motts. But I can't hold it in anymore. Amazing shots, I now devote all of my spare time to opacity and it's glory!
