this has to be the deepest thread I've ever read I feel for you all that have gone threw so much pain I too as a teen of
14 and 15 was in a ward for kids for observation and was locked behind such doors it was frightening and scary
and all I wanted was to be let out I cant

I've read through the post and have not seen where these units were located in the facility.
They do appear to be fixed in place so a indication of thier location would help to narrow down thier use.

My guess is some sort of drying unit due to the ventilation gridding and how they use cross ventilation.

why do they always want to demolish everything?

i can't imagine having to stay caged in that room for years and years.
