Yeah, i did too, Matt. That's why I posted it, it just reminded me of some of the pantry photos I saw of the Titantic.

It's a base for something, but I can't tell what it is. Almost looks like plastic closeup.

The darkness of the bricks is actually a combination of being wet (no doubt contributing to the crumbling of the plaster), and some green and black mold.

or it could have once been a copper moulding thats turned green over time.
