I couldn't believe how "tidy" that floor looked, until I read your comment about it Motts. Wonderful old windows.... set back so deep!

Hiya, ~Me!! :-)

Yes, the window in this door just draws me in.... I really want to look inside!

I agree Anna, I'd kill to see pics of this place in use! And Barbara, isn't that the truth.....a great sitting area. Lovely!

Great shot! These doors really do look somehow unusual, don't they?

And seeing as I've hogged Johnny for awhile, I'll share him now. :-)

Yes! I see exactly what you're saying Lynne.

I've always loved transoms over the doorways, they're so beautiful. And the wall almost looks like it has a disease, doesn't it?

Oh my, this is a fabulous shot Motts! And the wall to the right of the chair, it almost looks like there used to be some sort of arch or opening that got filled in.

Yes I see the shape too, don't know if it's drawn in or if it's from decay though.

This is another incredible hallway shot Motts! And I agree with what everyone has said about tearing down the old beauties.......it's just so sad.

Great way to put it, Mona Lisa! Every time Motts has shots like this, I'm amazed at Mother Nature's tenacity!

I can't help but be fascinated by the floor too! LOL
And Anna, do you mean the wide chair rail, or the narrow pipe closer to the bottom? I think it's a pipe....

Perhaps the artist was an inmate. My grandmother taught art at the NJ Womens Prison, and some of her most violent offenders painted some amazing art. Quite a bit of it was displayed in the facility.

Another great shot. I love the chair shot, but really love the hallway shot. The lighting is incredible.

Oooooh, I love the way the reflections of light from the window appear to be marching across the wall!

I could be wrong but I think the curving wall is the paint and debris....... wow I love the colours in this one.
