Gorgeous shots!!!!!!!So many memories. My great aunt(who is still living) worked at dixmont coz she is real patient. She even got strangled once but she had just happened to put her hand up to her neck when she was attacked. She was okay coz she pushed him off and called for help. BONE-CHILLING!!

You know, they tore this beuttiful(meaning looking wise) building down to build another Wal-Mart of which we have over 1000 of. We only had one Dixmont and now we will never get it back! ; ( True, many bad memories happened here but it was still a historical landmark. And now they aren't even going to build stupid Wal-Mart! Ashlen, far too many people make the assumption that EVERY person that was in a hospital like this was given a FFL (Full Frontal Lobotomy) and that simply is not true. I'm not saying it didn't happen, as I'm sure it did to some extent. But, far far too many people make the staff out to be horrible horrible mean evil people that got off on harming others. Simply not true. Look at Lynne, she's kind, caring, and sweet.

I'm not saying you are one of these people, or contradicting (whew big word for me) what you say, I just feel the need to speak up about it after seeing page after page after page of it.

By the way Lynne, I would love a copy of the book, decoder ring, and secret handshake, the check is in the mail.
