A few years ago, before any of the buildings were torn down, me and a few friends came here to explore, and I sat on these very benches. I had such a weird and eerie feeling, sitting on the same benches as everyone did in this hospital. I wish I still had all the pictures from here. I have a few up on my flickr.

But it is a same that they tore the buildings down.
poor poor patients, there so much better off now in the streets homeless and being eaten alive by maggots, i think alot of those people would rather be in an institution. give me a break

I worked for L&N for 38 years in Australia. I don't think this device is a board holder as printed circuit boards did not exist in this era. My guess it it is probably a mirror holder, a part of a light spot galvanometer.

My great grandfather was a patient here in the 30s & 40s. He probably died here in the mid 1940s. Anybody know how to find out information on former patients or inmates?
