I agree, the Plane Graveyard would be the greatest.. A fomer pilot in Nam, I would like to see the F4's Last Stand.

mesmerized by its abstract composition, color, form and texture; historical reporting brough forth an artistic instinct. Beauty lives even in the wrecks!

How do you know this is a sonar? ICouldnt it be a radar repeater? Vinatge surplus scanning sonars were rarely used on commercial vessels. Too much hassles with the hoist mechanism, packing glands to keep water out, transducer dome easily damaged if you strike anything (like logs) when lowered. The low frequency sub detecting scanning sonars werent very useful for commercial fishing, I never saw one on anything other than a Navy boat. Might be a sonar, just wondering....

I like the lines and angles as juxtaposed to the randomness and organic fluidity of the water below. Hell of a nice shot.

where is this exactly - love to tinker with some of the pieces if allowed on board
An artist I knew died after falling through the floor of an old abaondoned railroad engine repair facility. His brother held him for the last five minutes of his life - there was no time for an ambulance. Be careful in old structures.

That said, people have died for things less worthy than art.
I think I found my next vacation spot

It is so beautiful. It is the end of everything and the band played on as the people danced joyously unaware......

I agree Motts, at least Carls comments, while I don't agree with them, at least they are "constructive" criticism, not like Kevin Douglas's comments which were just an excuse to put sombody else down, I found a couple of other site's like yours before I found yours, and I don't visit them everyday for at least a couple of hours like I do yours!! Keep it up!!!

This is my favorite, the listing angle and the integrated bumpers make for a very art deco image.
