I am a lurker, on this site, so you guys don't see much of me, but this is very disturbing. I feel sad for students like that. Just think that they have to live like that. Its soooo sad. :-(

As always another brilliant gallery. Keep up the good work Motts! Thank you again for always amszing us!
Like my comment in the first photo, I never understood why we were made to climb these stupid ropes. We were like 10 or 11, already at the most awkward age anyway and this middle aged gym teacher wanted us to climb up these things and if we didn't or couldn't he was right there with that wooden paddle to smack us in the ass! If you smacked a kid with a wooden paddle now, the parents would be sue crazy.

I have tried twice to include a link to the site I am about to tell you about and lost my info instead. AD Nelson's post reminded me that I have a site that has pictures of Chernobyl. The site is Kidd of speed and is run by a young lady named Elena. She has made multiple trips into the restricted area. Her father was a scientist for the Soviet Union who helped to assess the radiation present. It was noted that right down the middle of a paved road was safe, So Elena took a meter with her and rode her motorcycle into the area. She also has taken pics and posted on this web site. Hope you can find it . My link works great sorry I could not post it.

I'm with JackieB. I think they were so old that there was no use for the chairs or it's parts. Many of these children could not even hold up their own head so the chairs were tall and had multiple padded areas to protect the child. They were an extension of the child. So in that respect they were not creepy at all.

RN making a wild guess, what if they were used to help prevent foot drop? Or maybe positioning devices for the legs/feet? If you had a patient that could not walk because one foot turned out or under, this might be a way to modify that.
They should have sent them to third world countries like Europe did years and years ago.
lol. I hear ya. i dont like basements either
LOL Matt...yeah they are a bunch of arseholes (sorry--I don't usually cuss) and I watch them just so I can bash on them.

I wanted to add about this picture that the horsie actually looks like it was trying to get away, but gave up and ended up just where it is...defeated and depressed.

Oh dear...that is depressing now isn't it?
Yah Matt!

I love that name btw. I wanted to name one of our children that, but hubby wouldn't let me...party pooper. :D

I love how the trees stand out in stark contrast to the sky. :)
