that's just a fact--even to this day--about antiquated plumbing. i live in an old Victorian and my wife won't flush any of her sanitaries down the toilet for fear of clogging up the system. and the same thing with similar houses in the surrounding area--no feminine products whatsoever, else it means dire shit for the sewage system....

i can honestly say that ive never seen a commode with foot rests on it. This is a first!!

i dont think you are motts, most people take for granted and expect total privacy while using the facilities, its just when your confronted with this that you realize how much these people where treated like cattle.

i hate seeing these types of beds, i think its just the idea that many a child lied there awake crying for someone that never came.

its amazing that these items arnt in a museum somewhere, instead of being left to rot in an abandoned building.
