I find it very interesting some of these stainless steel appliances have been preserved so well, in comparison to their surroundings.

Yet, my stainless steel cutlery and large appliances look like crap after just a few years. ;)

poor place was caught in a mosh. reminds me of an old episode of 21 jump street where this high school kid trashes his place in his guilt over being hired for murder all to the tune of 'institutionalized" by suicidal tendencies (first album, of course).

LOL, i have a "soundtrack" in mind for every picture and if i can't think of one, i create it. thanks for the inspiration, motts and crew.

-note- there are some instances where silence is not necessarily the absence of music. hmm.

wow, beautiful shot, yes it is fairly depressing. If you look closely at the line of dead tall grass blowing in the wind to the farthest side back, it almost resembles children (entitys of course) holding hands in a circle, as if they were playing.

The graffiti is interesting to me, although it is very disrespectful, the yellow/brown graffiti looks like Frylock from Aqua Teen Hunger Force!

Maybe the windows service 3 fuctions- light, security and some privacy. The windows are only big enough to see the top half of that person. The wall would provide some protection from breezes.
No soap dispensers because each inmate has his/her own bath items that they keep in thier rooms.

Maybe the windows were to let light into the shower area? There aren't light fixtures above the showers."

I would have to agree with Cow...the windows appear to be opague/frosted.

Interesting!
