ive been in there several times really creepy at night theres many buildings and bout 95 acres of tunnel underground im told by a guard that caught me n my friends in there once several years ago but look it up on google earth or just visit it you wont be dissappointed for more chat bout it hit me up on myspace my email is kriptyk420@aim.com

i enjoy this room a lot, i guess me and my friends are the "vandals" you guys are constantly refering too, we go there about every weekend and just kinda sneak around and try to run from security. has anyone else ran into the bicycle patrol man? me and my friends call him larry and supposedly is a nam vet, hes even caught some of my friends before but we always manage to get away, lets just say hes not that good at running. idk what to say, i really like dever and hanging out there, i have yet to find the pool but i have slept over night at dever with some friends, because there is a somewhat recent building near the hq that has mattresses in it. oh yeah and its always fun to find full fire extinguishers, they are so fun to play with

me and my friends sneak around dever almost every weekend and kinda mess with security, its fun and we usually use the tunnels as escape routes

Read! All of teh military buildings except the hospital, the morgue, and the administrations building, where destroyed spare a few. This building was built for the "school". They were built during a time when a kid would simply be disowned or sent away for being retarded. No one gave a care where they were or how comfortable they were. It was built for cheapness. "Whats the least we can spend; recycle an older facility and build prefab dorms. Who cares, the taxpayers don't care about the retarded." <that kind of mentality.

More than the graffiti i think it's disrespectful of the state to take a multi-million doallar facility and let it just sit and rot. The only real use of this place in the last 5 years and even 10 or so prior to 2002 is a playground for teenagers and a way for police to bust vandals. Yes the graffiti sucks, but there is some descent work elsewhere in the facility. Some graff can be legitamate art. But the tub is simply the man. Whoever thot you'd be able to get that out, guess again. You'll have to be carrying that thing, which is at least 200lbs across several acres covered by security, good luck. Don't think about bringing a truck into the faciity or you WILL get bagged by security.

The tunnels were used for the residents to get around the grounds. Especially in the winter months... Also these pictures look like they are from the buildings way in the back of Dever which where used for maintence, laundry, etc...

I used to make deliveries to the medical facilities for this place before it closed down. If you think it's creepy or depressing now, you should have seen it when it was occupied *shiver*

dever was not a prision it was a institution for the retarded back in the day they did some cruel experiments though before they understood why people were that way
