I can't imagine everything i was going to see just being in that mirror hanging above me. i have to say in this case death is more appealing. but you never know. some of the people in these may have been thankful they could live longer...even if it meant eternity in the iron lung...

I believe they have less restrictive forms of artificial respiration today. I'm not sure if Iron Lungs are still required in extreme cases.
