No - that's just mold and rotting drop ceiling tiles.
A lot of pain in this room
Not a peaceful area
Definately get the impression that there is something at the window to the right and it is not the reflected sunlight.

Eerie
I am not getting a good feeling from this hallway at all. I cannot believe you had the patience to stay here and photograph this whole area. You are to be commended.

i would buy multiple copies of your book! have you looked into the print on demand thing? actually, i don't really know much about it myself except that they are printed as ordered and i don't think you would need to put down a lot of money up front.

I live in N.C., and work in an E.R. This photo reminds me of a story one of our ER Doc's told me about one of our state mental hospitals (Broughton) He said that in the early days of the hospital, patients would actually SLEEP in their simple pine coffins instead of bed's. And, when they died, you simply had to nail the lid on on and bury them. I suppose they thought it was not only cost effective, but convenient as well.
FYI- Your site is amazing!! Fascinating and wonderful photo's- Keep up the great work!!

Yesterday, the Sci Fi Channel had a marathon of all the Ghost Hunters shows. I watched quite a lot of them, and my brain is totally fried. However, they did have the Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, Kentucky which would be comparable to many of the sites in Opacity. Pretty creepy!!
