what a drag to end up six feet dead on a plywood bed ////////////
thay still make almost the same style now days for wellfair funerals we had a fat guy in one one day and the funneral director told us to hold the bottem of the casket incase the bottem fell out i looked at him like you have got to be kiding me it was a bunch of b s scared the shit out of me with the family standing there crying and i was thinking this guy might come out to the world one last time /thay are coverd with a cheap vinyl meterial and plywood glue and news papers for stuffing or padding i have seen them almost come apart real cheap////
the satin looked good but it was cheap/i dont think that thay went the extra mile and embalmed the poor souls to save on time and money only if the body was shiped out to keep the smell down for the family/ the box is made of pine it would last about 2 years in the ground thats why alot of the old grave are sunk in/ i came across a casket next to a grave i was diging years ago it was buried1880 the box was cherry and wallnut it looked like the day it was put in the ground it was unreal

Exactly like what Ellis said depending on the time period because the mentaly ill were viewed as evil or possesed so they would be sent to an asylum and spend their life there. They would be locked away abused and tortured because people of that time really thought that mentally ill people were being used by the devil so they would be killed and burried near or in the asylum

more sunlight sneaking through, visible only on the wall, until it fades and disappears on the other side.

That's awesome...grayness directly outside the window, and some sunlight found a way to the inside wall.

a half-outside-the-box creative kind of mind can be a lonely hangout if there's no company.

Weird seeing this in color. Everything seems much bigger and emptier from a perspective of the whole room...especially with that green paint.

I have to say, this photograph creeps me out a little! Someone else commented that they were afraid to look too long for fear that another eye might look back. Yup, really freaked out by this surreal image! Fantastic!

The floor looks like it is paved in cobblestones. One amazing set. Thanks, Motts.
