Love it
heh... now this is my kinda pic
Personally.... I have never been able to explore a place with such a brutal history as an abandoned mental institution- since there dont seem to be many which I know of in the UK.

Yet, in some places... such as old castles and old homes- i almost feel the walls and foundations themselves reflect past lives and emotions of people who have stayed there.
I once took a stroll through an old farmhouse.. where for a moment- I had the uncomfortable feeling I was being watched, and for a moment my girlfriend thought she saw a young girl sitting in a corner.

We decided to leave and whether i could call this experience "supernatural", Im not sure- but I wont be forgetting that intense, dark aura we both felt that night any time soon.
This shot scares me- it seems sinister, yet has some sort of beauty to it at the same time.
I have no idea why, but when i saw this picture, it startled me.....
the room seems tilted
something peeking out on the right - after the wooden partition???? Anyone else see it?

There was a period of time (70s or 80s) where people were supposed to paint seclusion and time-out rooms Pepto-Bismol pink. There was some research to show it had an initial calming effect. Ironically, later research apparently showed that continued exposure to the color actually revved people up after the initial calming effect, but unfortunately it took a while for people to figure this out, and few people were in time out or seclusion for a short period of time. Horrid color, really. I can't tell if this is salmon, pink, or orange.
Very disturbing picture. Makes you wonder whats around that corner.
Lynne, very interesting, thanks for the info
I see a pretty clear image of a shadow figure standing in the archway.
Another strange color to use in a Mental facility.. it is said that Yellow is the color of insanity (and is rarely if ever used in hospitals)
I like the above comment! Strange color. Was this a patient room?
This fireplace is actually quite inviting. It seems out of place for a Mental Asylum.
well, what ever that machine was, can you imagine being strapped to a table and a nurse or doctor wheeling that thing over to you? Daym!
