wow, The Basement i had missed the last time i went, but i've been hearing rumors that the entrance to the Basement has been caved in, unless that was the Morgue entrance
I used to go to Glenn Dale Hospital frequently in the late 80's. I now work next to this location and I drive through the complex everyday. The police use this facility to train their K9s all the time. back when I used to go there the security would never think about going in there. Now that the police use it so frequently I'm sure they know the floor plan by now. As far as excaping from them in the tunnels you can forget it , they are flooded. I miss the old days. One night the police surrounded the main building with at least 35 cop cars from many jurisdictions of law. We only realized we may have a problem once they called in a helicopter. This no bullshit, they wwere for real this night . We got away thanks to the tunnels, and waited on top of the childrens hospital in hte elevator motor rooms. Today it's alot more risky and I know the police use night vision. Beware.
naw, most "bums"(I hate using that term) are fairly cool, they are just like you or me but without the money.
The cool thing was that he remembered me before I said anything to him.
As far as asbestos, this place is contaminated out the waa-zoo. The TB bacteria on the other hand, I highly doubt. once TB was a more controllable disease and there was no longer a need for TB sanatoriums like Glenndale, these places were used as general hospitals and the like. Glenndale was used as a hospice for the chronically ill for many years after it's life as a TB sanatorium.
I, personally can't find anything scary about Glenndale, but you should be careful.
My weird Glenndale story is the the same transient asked me for a cigarette twice, once last august and once about 2 months ago. Freaky
hey we were just there on 1-27-06..got some really nice pictures too, we went into the tunnels and everything, ended up in the basement of the adult hospital and had to walk right past the security guard trailer, cops were everywhere, careful.
