Yes, Any main gates are chained shut, all windows on the ground level are boarded up. When i visited the place, my friends and i were able to pull a board back to get inside but the place is all locked up and secruity now do have motion sensor placed, they have night vison and k-9. The place is locked up tight. It is an amzing place but the risk is high now. we got caught and that wasnt fun.

can someone confirm that they really did board the doors up?

The people that died on these beds may still be there.

Yeah. I've been in that hall. Didn't see anyone, other than the kids that were with me, but hearing echo's of footsteps when no one was there was one of the scariest moments in my life. BTW, place looks quite different at midnight.

There are no trespassing signs everywhere. So, I talked to the policewoman on duty at the trailer and she said that it was legal to take photos from the road (which I expected), but to not step on the grounds. There was one patrol car parked there. The trailer is fenced in with K-9 warnings. While taking pictures, I noticed at least one other park police vehicle pass by me on the road, and a couple PG county police cars. Waved to one of them. He waved back. This was between roughly 3:30-4:30pm. Bottom-line: I think security is pretty tight there so don’t press your luck. Have no idea if they do have night vision, cameras, and/or motion detectors, but would not rule them out. Hope I got some good pics for my photography course.

I believe in ghosts but i think that the people that were there are still there. My dad once went there but the police got there before he could see anything. I think kids who think they are better than everyone else, like the people who did the graffiti , should encounter the ghosts that are there and LEARN THEIR LESSON!!!

In answer to John Black, today ECT is only used after all other choices have been exhausted. I underwent it in 2001 for depression and would not recommend it unless the patient has tried every other possible procedure or medication. It does cause memory loss and they do use mouth gags (these were used on me to keep me from biting my tongue). Only those who were in the hospital would know what they were used for in this hospital, but ECT is what mouth gags are used for in psychiatric hospitals.

A lot of good imagination. Now how about renovating it and taking some more pictures. Of course do this after we get some film maker to make a scary movie and make the money available to restore it.
it's where we live.

I am an amateur photography who specifically likes to photograph abandoned buildings. I live not far from Glenn Dale and have always toyed with the idea of visiting Glenn Dale to shoot but have always been afraid of getting caught. Does anyone have any recent stories of exploring Glenn Dale? I've heard that if you approach the police instead of sneaking around they might be more willing to let you explore? I don't necessarily want to go into any of the buildings, but I would like to explore and photograph the grounds, preferably in the day light.
