It's actually rusted metal... not sure if there were casters on the bottom.
NICE!!!!!!!!
must have been pretty cold in there.
if it is wood than that really is such a waste. it could have been sanded down and refinished. Put a new top on it and one would never know the difference. good as new.
was that made out of wood? or is that metal that is very badly rusted? To me it looks like wood especially because I've never seen a base like that in metal w/ round legs.
to take pictures this way truly is an art. i know nothing of taking pics i know that certain types of photography can affect me or haunt me maybe the right word.
that is what my junior high school aka middle school in queens looked like. well, the paint wasen't peeling like that but we had those cage looking partitions in the stairwell.
is it dirt though or mildew. I am trying to figure out how dirt got in there. Mildew I can see. hmm.....
minus the infectious bags needless to say.
that floor tile is actually a very classic design. Very popular in the 20's. Alot of people are doing it again today.
looks like someone ripped the metal bars off the window in a desperate attempt to get out.

Seems like someone left there in a hurry. That is what it looks like. I wonder why there are random things left like that , but where are all the tables and chairs and trays and anything else that would have been used?
kind of like on an old farm. they would use this as the connection between a greenhouse and the mainhouse or the barn. wow, i like that idea.
it is beautiful! if the leaves weren't on the ground it would look like somewhere still in use.
