This relic must have been unimaginably beautiful in it's heyday.
Oh wow Spad that would make sense given the group of sisters that originally had it. Nice work!

I love that the older it gets, the more that is revealed.
Hope to hear some happier news about this place!

Thanks Motts for this gallery! I'd love to see more grand ole houses like this.
Wow, what a place this must have been back in its day
I wouldn't doubt the family is still there in spirit.

Cool copy of the death mask--but what exactly is a death mask?
Love the whiteness of the tree in this exposure
I love this shot! The tarps almost take on a purplish hue on my computer. A haunting photo indeed!
What a waste!
Very detailed, ornate work. Such a shame it's rotting away.

Great gallery, thanx for posting as always. Several posted recently, good luck chipping away at the massive archive you have in the wings!

A constant reminder so she would always be with him? He felt she would watch over the place and the kids? Did he hear the faces talking to him? All of the above?

In this pic, that structure looks like it was getting ready to come down by itself. They would have had to save it at that point or much damage would have taken place when it all fell.

Radiator cover is my guess also. Quite a thick layer of fallen crap there. Why anyone would put in a false ceiling and hide that the awesome original stuff is beyond me.
