The film "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" features some stunning surrealistic backdrops reminiscent of the odd-angled window pane work at the top of this window.
That broom is looking a little standoffish, LOL. Like it's saying "don't even think about coming through this door, buddy!"
correction, the one on the left looks like its sticking its tongue out LOL
LOL, I just looked at those white blocks on the walls in the background and they look like faces that are smiling (the one on the left is laughing). Didn't notice that before...
Again, a stunning view! I sure do wish I was there, breathing in that fresh, mountain wilderness air! Hearing nothing but the birds singing and a few rustles of small animals in the brush. Bet it's so peaceful there!

This view is spectacular, Motts. I bet when you saw it in person, it was breathtaking.

It's beautiful. The Italians have long been the masters of tilework. When this place was built over 100 years ago, it was fairly cheap to have floors done this way. Just like in America around same time, skilled bricklayers could pave a street in no time at all. Nowdays, linoleum and asphalt are budget-friendliest.

Aside from the blue thing, I'd expect to see this picture in a book about Cinderella or maybe Snow White in the dwarves' house.
