funny how the architecture is so similar to the old(est) buildings at Holy Cross, my alma mater, in Worcester, Mass. So similar to Fenwick and O'Kane, and the spires reminiscent of the one on Alumni Hall
wow, so those walls were real. I wonder if they used those real pictures in session 9 or if they were just inspired by them and created fake murals for the film, or if they added new photos to the preexisting collages... i gotta see the movie again.
"DO IT, GORDON!!!"
the 1st "insane asylums" (asyla?) in the US were (im fairly certain) this one and worcester state, one being an expensive facility for the mad sons and daughters of the rich (this one, i think) and the other being for the, well, nameless rabble. it would stand to reason then that early pt.s here were given more humane treatment, as money does tend to make its opinion known vocally. again im pretty sure this was one of those 1st 2 early psychiatric facilities in the US, im certain worcester state was. i should really know more about this, considering i just got my BA in psychology in Worcester, Mass. (college of the holy cross FTW) and spent almost 2 weeks of my senior year in a psych unit right near the old WSH (major depressive disorder FTL)
also Session 9 was great.

What a shame.
I agree that there seems to be a lack of the proper use of grammar in America. However, this site is not limited only to America. For some, English is not a first language. I don't think that is the case here, but it is something to consider. Also, when picking apart someone else's grammar be very certain that your own is beyond reproach. I would love to see better use of the English language, but it is not worth starting a war over.

Because people don't seem to care anymore about using proper grammar and english. It just makes Americans, as a whole, look really stupid. I guess I just don't understand why it seems to be that, most of the people I know that weren't even born here, can speak better english than those who were. Also, it's extremely irritating to try to read someone's comments that look/sound like a 3-year-old wrote them. Ya know?
And being in a rush is not an excuse, either. If you have time to be on here and write it, you have time to do it right. But, who cares what I think anyhow? I just had to blow some steam after reading a lot (that's 2 words, btw)of these comments that made absolutely NO sense--- although they seemed to be trying to.
NOT trying to "flame" anyone--- and I know that i can shut off comments--- BUT, by reading them, I have learned quite a bit from people like Lynne and a few others that seem to be able to speak coherently. So, I guess, there you have it.
