for all those colors. How do you get them to turn out like that?
I do some stuff with slide film processed as C-41. I get some great colors like that.
Any tips?

You have hit the nail right on the head.
Too true.
Excellent farewell photography! This is a fascinating subject on many levels; historically valuable and emotionally charging with its documented beginnings of good intentions and practices towards the care of the mentally ill - to the later mismanagement which led to the types of negative patient treatments which almost entirely deviated from their original philosophy of less restrictive and better care for the mentally ill. The demolition of this building has been a great tragedy because the building, regardless of it's history, was an architectural marvel. Oh, and I did notice the eerie image/reflection in the window. It sure does look mysterious and worthy of further investigation. Perhaps the original should be closer examined? Peace to all.

Looks like the small building they used to do lobotomies in. Just out side the east end of the Kirkbride building. There was a small passageway out to the building Made it into the passage never into the building didn't have the proper keys to do so.

Okay the place was open for about 110 years give or take a few. There is a Graveyard on grounds with 700 odd bodies buried with out names just numbers. I remember at least 5 suicides there. God knows there were more. Tranquilizers were not used until the last 50 years of the places existence. So I believe that there are probably more than 1 sprit in residence. Grounded, residual, poltergeist you name the spiritual spectrum it's can be found there. Ghost stories have abounded there for as long as I've been alive. All sorts of phenomena have been reported. I never had any overt experiences there. The feeling of never being entirely alone pervades the place.

You ought to hear what it sounds like ,when you have to have some one open up one of those doors with a crow bar at 2:00 AM, after you've locked some one in the room and the lock broke.
