It looks like a mortician's aspirator, which I do believe can be used to both suck fluids out 0f a body as well as put them it (think formaldehyde).

It's sad thinking how many innocent children and adults were layed on this table.

I love this one too! The gurney totally looks like it's about to do stuff with the jars heh. The light and shadow adds a lot of drama, too.
