Matt , you must be talking about the counselor laurie that mostly worked on ward d , I'm sure you remember the counselor Corey that worked on ward e , laurie and corey were best of friends, I stayed intouch with corey for the longest time , I always thought corey was the best counselor there he had a heart of gold , even Phil that worked on ward e , not to many of the kids liked him but I always got along with him ,
I'm trying to get intouch with sandy again , when we got both released I was staying with my grandmother and she would come over and visit me , we were together for awhile , at that time my brother was building a racecar and she would come over and hang out with us in Wilmington mass , sandy and I stayed intouch for awhile , we spent some quality time together, it was wild and I remember it like it was yesterday, she was so beautiful and had an awesome personality, we got along great , I would love to meet up with her again

Was anyone there in 1977-78? Believe it or not, the movie, Glass, brought back some memories of being there! My heart was racing so fast! Really never mentioned my being there to anyone...til tonight!

How will I know if anyone responds?

You remind me of the coma woman who just gave birth. Well the incident reminded me you remind me that helpless folks live on with the damage done.
I wasn't at Gaebler but I was isolated from age 5 until I was 12. I was in protective then foster care and among people but never allowed to interact and put in a room alone as often as it was possible to do so.
Before age five my family wasn't much better.
I need to rant a little more.

It is verified knowledge that solitary confinement is detrimental to a even psychologically healthy adults mental health.

When I was at Gaelber it was customary to confine children to seclusion for hours and hours and even more prolonged periods of time.

Some kids were even placed on long terms seclusion schedules where they were not allowed contact with the world and other human beings for weeks to months on end...

I find the idea that this was at all justifiable completely ludicrous, completely...it was criminal to seclude kids like this really...

Now I am done ranting
