Shawshank Redemption love that movie. Sad part was when Brooks Hatlen hanged him self after spending 50 years behind bars.

Thank YOU for the new gallery Mr. Motts. Its saddening to think of the circumstances that would lead one, to call this place home. The white folding chair may be like a memory of better times. Not creepy at all just overwhelmingly sad.... addiction, mental illness, disenfranchised.
Nice tour, Sir Motts! Thank you!
I'm sure he means the broken glass from the old skylights above. Legitimate fear here!
Great perspective
Incredible indeed. I can picture the Opacity logo Photoshopped onto the far wall......
Yeah, that looks pretty spooky alright. Gives the impression that someone could jump out of one of those cells at any moment!
Peeling paint & crumbling brick....what a great texture!
Very glad to see a new gallery, Motts!
It looks as though it probably didn't smell too nice...

I too love seeing these old abandoned documents. It brings out something tangible from a human perspective. For anyone who cares, $450 in 1978 is about $2,100 in today's dollars...not much money for a power bill for a huge building like that. Clearly by then it wasn't utilized much.

It's like a prison within a prison. I bet this cell was reserved for those who throw their excrement or spits at the guards.

Very intimidating. I can see how someone would go insane stuck in a place like this.
