Looks like this complex was in a rough neighborhood. Beautiful buildings just left to get trashed and attacked. Funding was pulled for some reason. Perhaps the costs of updating to building codes, internal church politics, neighborhood went down the toilet. All of the above.

The Heath oscilloscope came as a kit. Heathkit made a huge amount of awesome electronics kits. I enjoyed making them very much, but they were not cheap.
