My best friends dad is a forensic pathologist & does autopsie's for a living. He has often told me that if you don't make jokes sometimes that you simply wouldn't make it through some days. It's never meant to be disrespectful to the departed or their families. It's just how you cope sometimes with staring death in the face all the time.
