Hey, if you ever publish a book with your photography, make THIS the cover.....with a very dark title like what my friend calls urban decay exploration....going Into the Abyss of Decay (you can have that one; a simple thanks inside would be enough).
"Hey, where do these stairs go?" "They go up." - from Ghostbusters.
Ever come across medication bottles with drug names on them? (I'd assume that part of the shutdown would usually require removal of all pharmaceuticals from the premises) Like empty bottles or shelf labels or the like?
I've seen those before....usually in factories and other places with large Cathedral-height windows. As I'm sure you could guess, the one pulley opens all of the window vents at once....one wouldn't really WANT to have to climb all that way up to open or close each of those vents separately....a waste of time.
LOVE the motto on the scale! ;)

"No springs. Honest weight." Yeah....people would just "love" to read that one!

Not sure it's a toilet... The base looks kind of like one, but it's a bit on the large side, and there's a faucet above it. I'd guess it's another sink--seems like I vaguely recall seeing something like that in the morgue in another gallery, although I could be misremembering.

It's a wash basin, used for washing out organs after they are removed from the body.

The place has only been abandoned for about a year, I think.

True, but it was a minimum security facility though, so the cells looked more like rooms compared to a more secure prison.
