better make it quick its being demolished very soon i believe most haunted are doing some paranormal work there and it is being demolished this weekend or in the coming weeks
This place is amazing and has me absolutely fascinated. I was channel hopping and saw it on 'Most Haunted', which I'm sure it isn't (and I certainly do not believe in Ghosts), but I love mooching round old, abandoned buildings. I am devastated to hear that it is to be demolished and will try to get up there before it is gone forever. I don't live far away (just outside of Bath), anyone fancy joining me? Let me know. I remember visitting this beautiful building in 1984 as my father was doing a couse in psychology. It was an impressive building then, and still now (I drove upto the building last year to see if it was still standing after I heard rumours it was going to be levelled to make room for new housing). Even in it's dillapidated state, it's still an elegantly impressive building. A friend of the family came with me to reminisce, as they were a patient here in the early 1970's in one of the wings called Afallon. I'm watching Most haunted this evening. I hope Prince Charles' Phoenix charity ca do something to save and preserve this precious Welsh heritage building.
As Soon As I Looked At This Picture I Has A Sort Of Vision At The Sides Were 2 Gurneys With People Strapped Down With Young Nurses In White Dresses Holding their Hands As they Struggle. very intreguing
Ive Heard About This Place Before And To See Pictures Like This Is Amazing And Very Interesting,
I May Only be 15 But History Is A Fave Of Mine :)
This Picture Is Amazing, Really Makes You Feel As Though You Are Actually There.
This is so scary, my mums aunt was a patient here must have been 30- 40 years ago or something like that, and she received electric shock therapy. She was in there for what we now know was post natal depression, but it was never diagnosed. She committed suicide soon after being released, after giving birth to her 4th child, when her husband refused to let her be sterilised. (her youngest son still thinks it's his fault). It should never have happened. This picture sends a shiver down my spine.
is this hospital still around or has it been demolished? if it still there can the public visit it? would be interesting to see it for real dont you think?
