This picture is just SO amazing!
Motts~ You are able to capture so much in just one picture!
From the beautiful design of the staircase with their shades of blue and grey that lead down to the arched entrance to them.
The small tease of decorative diamond tiles laying at the foot of them.
Then to the door with such an equally and beautiful design.
It appears to have rays of sunlight opening it , welcoming others to come in.
Definately one of my favorites! : )

Who actually lived there?
I love to imagine former inhabitants, walking in such places, never rest in peace...

when things are imperfect I think the beauty is more satisfying.
I'd have hired Motts. We didn't get married in anything that was currently abandoned. However, it once was. We got married in a restored mansion that was operating as a restaurant. We had our first date there. The restaurant displayed a photo album of the place when it was abandoned as well as pictures of the process of restoring it. A few years after we got married the owner/chef passed away and it was sold. It is now reopened under the new ownership.

I'm amazed that a building like this can be left for "dead".
