i can just imagine the boy and girl in each of these rooms being a couple, and at night time placing their hands on each side of the wall longing to see each other again.

Well, I've spent the afternoon viewing photos and reading comments, thank you lynne. Today ,my sister and I visited the hill for the first time since our childhood. We never wanted to go back there. Wished we visited sooner. It is so very different now. Our father spent most of our growing up years at Hamp. We would visit him on tuesday in the day room. Many years we couldn't even visit him. That photo brought back memories. Some of the comments were heartfelt, others empty, ugly.. thank you Mott for these photos. I am going to researcdh photos taken in the 50's , when I used to visit my Dad.

This shot would be amazing if only that girl in the silly costume wasn't in the way.

How could you be so trite? That's serious disrespect to those who suffered & died there. Maybe if you were ever a victim of such treatment, then you would have the right. But since you know nothing of suffering...how dare you?!

The hooks are for connecting gurneys to the table when we transfer the body. If you see a hook like that in the foot-end, it is for a bucket, if the table or gurney lack drainage. I am a post mortem technician and see them quite often.

i have to agree with Bill Romjue ... there is some tension in her brow and she appears to be thinking about something, but not quite a blank stare.

this one she actually looks insane ... or like a little kid in a tantrum ... i like this one ... here the wings actually fit.

her mouth wouldnt be completely closed and somewhat tight like that if she were unconscious, but i like the overall idea of the image.

same with this one ... like the look in her eye here but lose the wings.

i agree with Nemorov though ... wouldve been much better without the wings
