did you lift the blanket to see what was underneath?? the mattress looks like one of the fancy articles you might find in a holding cell down at the local jail house. more of those squares.... i wonder what they signified to the patients. they're everywhere. it was like a universal language spoken amongst the inhabitants of the hospital.

they look like those little national geographics cards that used to come with the magazines. i used to have a box full of those little cards that looked like photographs. i wonder whatever happened to those.....

it's curious how in a place like this that has been left neglected for so many years some things seem to remain untouched while other elements are torn down or fall down. that they remain at all in any condition is marvelous.

i like that arrow on the floor pointing to that darkened doorway. either the hall is unsafe and you should turn back or the doorway is unsafe and you should turn back... and the opened door at the end of the hall way, all lit up wth the brightness of the day light outside; looks so inviting.

it does seem interesting that the exit is there next to what appears to be a boarded up doorway. nice way to tease the sane or insane for that matter.

even the ghosts get the square motif.

very geometric... even on the floors. squares echoing their shapes all over the place.

i'm really interested in the layers of paint on this door... it looks like there's something else under there. maybe it's just rust.

that's the way out?? sheesh!! the door might say exit on it but, it certainly doesn't scream santuary.
