And I'll ignore them again. :-)

Lynne, I think its great that patients get to pick their own room color. It would certainly make the place a bit more personable. And yes, 20 years from now we will be here saying "Now why the heck are all those different colors?"...and Lynne will come by and explain...again...

Mr. Motts is quite correct. The "prettier", more well-behaved patients were placed closer to the administration section up toward the front. The less tractable and "curable" a patient was thought to be, the farther back they were placed.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is where the phrase "the back wards" comes from. :-)

Hey! Looka this! Just what we were saying earlier! :-)

So, Motts, do you drag your girlfriend-wannabes along when you photograph these places to see how they handle it? It's absolutely none of my business, so naturally I just had to ask. :-)

Our fire alarms are like that on most parts of campus - they require a key. Otherwise the folks would have an uproarious time setting off the fire alarms. We don't have very many folks left on campus who understand the concept of a fire alarm to alert others for a fire, so none of them would be able to use one if there was a fire and they were aware of it.
