Yeah, thats really a shame. A shame that we can't really see the inside of it and a shame it couldn't be reused. Bummer.

It looks so much like a castle. It probably was better built than most buildings today. What a shame to tear it down really. Its sad it couldn't have been reused. It would've cost alot of $$ to fix it up though I'm sure. Since it looks like the roof was gone.(and whatever else) What a shame!! Thanks for the picture, Motts!!

Always love to see a new gallery up!! Thanks Motts!!
Thanks for this gallery Motts. Absolutely love your work; it inspires me to pursue my love of the (more or less) forgotten. Can't wait for the next one...:-)
Ok it may just be me but this looks like a drawing, not a photo! Amazing...
goodness me, it looks like somewhere from a warzone.

I wonder how many children gazed from these windows, day dreaming of their future, or a romantic crush on a fellow resident. I can picture a 14 or 15 year old school girl staring outside, tears flowing, because of an unkind word or false rumor by the other girls. I'm sure that teen angst was alive & well in the late 19th and early 20th century. I can also envision a lonely, confused little boy peering from these windows, missing his mother who, through no fault of hers, wound up on the streets & was unable to care for him. A thousand different stories must have unfolded behind those windows.

Lovely gallery. Although it makes me a little sad that I went to high school only a few blocks away and never knew it was there.

This is repetitive, but this is an amazing shot. Definitely print/wallpaper worthy!
I keep waiting for Count Dracula himself, to come into these shots, grinning his toothy smile, and welcome us to his Castle!
This is incrediable, Mr. Motts. I am in awe. Happy New Year to you and everyone on here!
