I have viewed about 200 of your photos tonight. They are beautiful, sad and creepy. What I don't get is why some rooms/hallways are completely gutted of furniture and artifacts except for 1 or 2 items. Did the guys removing the things (chairs, baths, scales etc), put 90% of the items on the truck , look around and say "Stuff it!! That'll do". I think it's strange that the removalist job was only ALMOST completed.

Thanks! It's an interesting field, to say the least. I have enjoyed learning about it as I have worked in different places, and this site has challenged me to learn even more.
BTW, Lynne, I enjoy reading your explanations of things on this site. They shed a little light on these "dark" places, I think...:-)...

No, the floors are only falling down. The center section of flooring was actually pretty solid, the edges just seemed to have rotted out.
