Absolutely adorable! To live there.! Such a shame to know of its abandonment and the fire - yes depressing. Too late now!
Fine picture, though.
But some are being fixed nicely ,like Traverse State Hospital in Michigan.
So fine this is, Mr. Motts. Good work.
Would not an American like to live there? To me it looks wonderful. Why are they not fixed up? Everyone needs to live somewhere.
Hmmmm so a library is dumped on a floor. What were they thinking? This is a good picture. It really shows how we human beings are: not so clever as we think. Nope, not at all. (Me neither!)
Of course some books are outdated; but am absolutely sure there are real treasures there, too. Medical books with fantastic pictures. Timeless old-school.
It is like a dream: the most wonderful chimney! A masterpiece. Thank you for this fantastic picture. Skills to build; outstanding mind to draw it. Such care of every detail, it is amazing.
How pretty this is. So sad it was not renovated for people to live in. Would have been just so very nice! We all need somewhere to live. Do Americans not like the idea?
What a find! Who built this? We will never know! Keep wish-thinking a patient built it all, a talented architect, day after day, month after month in no hurry, cutting, glueing sawing, pasting and painting, left to do so by the staff. as doing no harm to anyone - sorting out a crisis - and actually leaving the asylum well enough to cope with everything belonging to life. It is beautiful! Thank you, Mr.M.
Tin ceiling with flaking paint, shiny floor still, curtains at the window, some furniture, someone hanging out....it does not look that bad. That is the strange part.
That light at the end is so special! What a mess; you most certainly are a very brave man to dare to come here and take these fine pictures. Thank you. Be well and stay safe always.
