The Anchor is an early Christian symbol of hope. I would guess, hope for salvation and the Heavenly journey into eternity. Death is so final, so Permanent.. Visiting an old Cemetery like this one we see the monments erected to honor people long gone and forgotten, and we realize that in time so shall we be forgotten as they.

What a neat old Bobsled, someone should restore it and find a nice, big, snow covered hill to ride it down. A little paint, a headlamp, and a soap dispenser is all it really needs.

I cant imagine that this cemetary would be allowed to go to ruin. It's way too important historically and there are quite a few famous people here. The chapels and cremetorium are cited in historical landmark books. Too many restoration committees around here to let it happen.
