I believe this building was for people who were convicted or standing trial for a serious crime, and were being evaluated for mental illness.

Iam confused, were these patients or mentally ill prisoners? If I had a family member in thier I would be getting that little puppy out real quick.

After looking on your site and other websites
I am amazed at how many mental hospitals
were active until the late 1900's. I mean were did all these people go? Is that why there are so many homeless now.

I get a creepy sense of what it sounds like in that tunnel just looking at it. I imagine the hum of the flourescent lights is quite eerie...

Must have been a soap dispenser someone was upset with, and decided to drop it on the stairs.

its kind-of plane but it makes me really think about why you choose this single plane place.

why motts why?
interesting shot ,there are many things i like about this photo

#1 the lighting is perfect

#2 it looks like you really thought about what angle to chose

#3 the radiators under the windows give me the feeling that people carefully set them there knowing you would turn that scene into a wonderful work of art.

#4 its just a great picture
well i think its not your best shot but its okay
I see something spooky.
