Carter road is a bad place to park or be seen by the neighbors. They're given monetary rewards for every trespassing call that leads to a conviction. I used to park on the Bucks County side of Byberry and go across the county line into Philly to gain entry. That is, until I moved right across the street from the place. Now I just walk over to it.

This hallway IS the mansions. They branch off both sides every 25 yards or so. You can get to this hallway via the catacombs from W-6, W-7, or W-3. Just make a left at the shopping cart, go up the stairs, and climb through the hole behind the boilers.
lol , on my second trip to byberry, I was walking on the sidewalk area on carter rd with my camera in hand, a cop stopped me and asked me what i was doing.... i told him that I spoke to security and they said that i could take pics from the sidewalk, he laughed and said "do you want me to see if I can drive you through the complex"? Of course I said YES! but.... after he asked security for permission, he was turned down (because he had a passenger) makes me think I should have ducked down but neither of us thought of that before hand.... The cops name was kevin, he said he used to hang out in Byberry years ago himself. he was actually a nice guy to try to do that for me.
Radical Ed, so you can get to these mansions via this hallway?
is this table turned upsidedown?
was this taken the same day he cut his hand?
if so, I was there that day! and I missed out on meeting you guys!!! damn
This has got to be one of the most distrubing pictures in your collection, the lighting, shading, all the colors and decaying subject matter... at first, I thought this picture was upside down until I saw the exit sign.... youve got a great eye motts!

I figure Motts has an education, regarding photography, be it through a University or through trial and error.
People who just "hang out" at these venues, don't exude education at all, especially those who put graffiti on the walls.
Leave it to Byberry to be graffitied.
