No, actually security can't touch you at all. They only patrol the grounds. If they enter the buildings, they're fired on sight. Plus, the current security is rather lazy anyway.

WTF folks? The place is abandoned ,according to Radical Ed, has been for a decade or more. This is not the Sistine Chapel people. It is an abandoned building descending into a ruin. Why not tag if it suits your fancy? It is not Tenochtitlan or the Step Pyramid in Seqqarah. It is not a holy place. Good grief people if they are tagging in there maybe they'll leave some apartment buildings with people in it alone. Perspective people, perspective. I worked at Danvers State Hospital. It is/was tagged too. BFD. The place was a dump when it closed. The state ignored it for over 20 years prior to it's closure. It provided, like PSH, illicit jollies for apparently hundreds of people over the years. They left their marks No big deal. Here endeth my rant.

I've worked at several of these places and all of them had tunnels. They were used by maintainence people . There was direct access to a tunnel in K Building at Belchertown State School; I went in it a few times and it was full of piles of pipes. I heard that staff sometimes used the tunnels to travel to other buildings in bad weather, back in the "old days", but the tunnels were off-limits to staff (and certainly to clients) during my years at these places. And it is extremely unlikely anyone "never saw the light of day"- all the buildings had windows, some had fenced-in yards, lots of clients were able to walk the grounds with staff or alone, people had to go to school or workshops or activities or appointments, etc. Some of what I read on this site seem to be urban legends...

Why? The guards don't really do shit anyway. They can't touch you or hold you, only chase and scare you. They're LAZY guards. You can walk right in without any problems or anything. It's the police you need to watch out for, but they usually don't go inside. Many of them are scared shitless to go in.
