I have worked in both Danvers and Met State in Waltham as a Tel Rep Tech when they were occupied. I had spent many hours in the basements and tunnels as part of my job. Believe me they are as creepy as you can only imagine. On more than 1 occassion we would find patients hiding in the dark areas in the tunnels. This happened on a regular basis. these places were spookey occupied, never mind empty. If you get the chance watch the movie Sessions 9 about an asbestos clean up crew working at Danvers Hospital.

The original painting is 70's-ish. The added 'horns' was a stroke of genius. This is the type of graffiti that I approve of.
And a beautiful building, which will finally be at peace very soon, returned to dust, her work all done. Those rays look as though they're calling Dixmont and the ghosts of all who resided here back home...

No, Twug, I don't play golf, but a golf course is a serene setting to spend a weekend morning. Just Finished surfing Motts' musical sites, quite entertaining I must say. Wish I was in the NYC area, I'd check out a performance

Dixmont seems brighter than other places. I mean more windows and light coming in. No doubt it was a dark place for many.
