The lights are low as an attempt to put as much of the lighting to good use as possible. We do this now, only we usually add a drop ceiling as well. We just did this at my workplace a few months ago. It helps insulate the room as well as brighten things up. We dropped the ceiling to one inch above the rather tall windows.

I think the scene could be rather pleasent. Imagine someone in their robe and slippers sitting there with their coffee and reading the morning paper by the dawning sunlight. Their blue and white thermos by their side.

If you are going then go soon...it will all be coming down. They have cleared some of the brush for the press conference they had a few months ago and ceremoniously knocked down the "Philadelphia State Hospital" sign. The ticks are VERY bad there and the guys clearing the brush were almost in tears when they got covered with them. Security seems tighter but it is a huge place with a lot of ground to cover. Not sure how they will implode the tunnels but it seems all of it - including many if the very old trees - are just going down at once. It is also home to a ton of wildlife so who knows what will happen to all the birds and animals. Hope they don't run out into Route 1 to be killed!

The whole place is slated to come down to become an "active adult community". One man has already died wjile inspecting the place for demoltion.

Torture? Please give me a break.

It looks like more of a greenhouse now, with the glass roof, and the ferns. But nevertheless its still and amazing picture.

to answer your question, I HAVE been there. More times than any human should have to live through. At this point in my life, the people I have known who are dead outnumber the people I have known who are still alive. Those who were cool when they were still alive are STILL cool even though they are dead. Tremble before my LOGIC!

Coke is not that addicting its definiltly no a 99.9% chance its more like 30% chance i know lots of people who have tried it on more than one occasion and ALL of them have have yet to become addicted. And I personally have tried it ALOT but i am not addicted whatsoever! theres nothing wrong with doing it its safer than drinking and smoking pot!

why would you wanna jump over the fence anyway...i think thats why that made stairs.

hii everyone, i came across this site when i typed in "bloodbath" in the google search, i've seen a few pictures and read about 85 comments on different ones..

its amazing how you can interest someone with a building, i stared at looked at this picture for ages and just thought "how many people were put in those" "who cleaned them out", so many questions can pop into your mind when your only looking at one picture!

keep telling me stuff about this place..its got me really interested to know :]!

some of the tunnels have lights on due to generators...i know there is one in the tunnels by the admin buldg but really close to the vet center...so that might be part of it also...
