Steam dredge.

Most likely no one died when this sunk. It was retired from service & got parked here. Years of neglect & an occasional storm caused the lower decks to slowly fill & the vessel sunk.

The whining sound of her diesels was caused by very big turbo chargers.

I was born in the 80s so must have missed most of the "smoking areas" you can still smoke in some restuarants, but thats about it. I remeber having to complete 6 pages of paperwork just to get a pass to smoke outside the hospital in upstate NY. I was on the 6th floor and I would have to go down to the ground floor and needed a pass to get there. This was in 03. Its amazing how things change

rtotten, (if you're still around, lol) I've heard that this mural was painted by a patient a long time ago. judging by the looks of it (the old style camera, the colored tiles which seem to no longer be there, the decript looking paint, etc.), I could say that the "long time ago" claim is a safe assumption.

ugh why must something like this go to waste? I really could've used that. see I craft all sorts of Native American things, and this loom would've been perfect for ponchos and handbags and the like. nowadays I have no idea where I could find such a loom, as well as the cost of it! if I had just one thing I could've retrieved before this place was abandoned (I mean they really should've put some of this stuff up for grabs if they were just gonna leave it to rot), I think I would've taken one of these looms.

The property is owned by MNCPPC and policed by REAL police who have K-9, night vision and years of experience in where we try and hide. Yes an actual cop lives on the property and its patrolled by other ones throughout the day and night because its DANGEROUS, the place is falling apart holes in the floors, unsturdy walls, dust rust and yes it was closed due to asbestos. Not to mention a hefty trespassing fine or possibility of being arrested.
