With any fine piece of history, it is a broken fairy tale when it goes to waste and neglect, even demolition.

Wow, it kinda looks like there is wood under the red paint if im seeing it correctly. My guess is that chandeliers were once hanging from those ones that are projecting away further from the ceiling.

I was thinking the same thing Stacy. The fire place looks out of proportion to the high ceilings. Lovin the wallpaper tho, its so grand.

Also so spectacular, Iovin those trees growing where they are not suposed to!

Ehh......plaster over bricklay. Typical. At least the arches were wood carved. In the regency era, alot of the floral and scrollwork were done in plaster. Even the dental work done near the ceilings in most buildings were plaster stretched out with horse hair.

So spectacular, I would not mind living in that! even in its abandoned state!

I wonder if the scrollwork up there was marble or plasterwork?

An Azure Hall. It makes me think of the blood Queen's castle in Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust. But it was all red instead.
