No, I'm pretty sure this baby hasn't moved in a long, long time; undoubtedly rusted shut after years of disuse and corrosion.

Thanks, yes the light spilling into the room made this vignette... the windows and doors were shuttered and boarded on the outside, making the openings to the inner courtyard the only sources of light. It reminded me of a miniature Metropolitan State Hospital in layout and lighting.

yeah, i noticed the cobblestone floors as well. gives it a medieval touch dont you think? makes it even more magificent. i can just imagine a horse about to ride through there clip-clopping away down the stretch. Amazing.

I like the fact that this shot prominently displays a room where the modern structure interrupts the serenity of the original building, and how the figures correspond and exemplify that fact. Basically... I like the "human invasion" statement (though you might not have been thinking about that at the time).
