It's amazing how little this has been touched over the years. In the US, this would have all been destroyed by vandals already.

Looks a lot like where a miner would place a tag when they checked out a piece of equipment and were going into the mine. That way the company had a set record of who was underground if something happened.

This place looks like it should be tucked away in rolling desolate hills, not right near a freakin' road.
