The history! Truly sites like this absolutely awe me-to touch one of these stones and know it was placed by another human 1,000 years before...

Or the white looks like paint almost too. Yeah if these walls could talk (of all the places that Motts has pictured for us here)....they'd have so much to tell us. It would be interesting to listen wouldn't it.....Just think of all the Hospitals/jails etc.....its endless.....

And I believe the monastery was most likely built with, and on top of, pagan temple ruins, as many churches, monasteries, etc were.
