I've been in four different hospitals and the shower heads all look almost exactly the same as this. Some are even smaller, and yes, they're designed to prevent suicide attempts. The shower floors are mostly of the locker-room variety, though at least now people are given a modicum of privacy.

it's amazing how much work was put into making these old hospitals so beautiful! Newer hospitals all seem so overly sterile and kind of depressing! I know that if I was really sick like these people were I would much rather look at all of the beautiful architecture than plain walls!

near my grandparents house theres a old hospital out in Hartner KS, and i get the jitters knowing they left all the files of patients, though, had i been ballsy enough, I may have actually gone through them, or rather, gotten close enough to them to go through them haha. good pictures motts, i love this stuff :)

In trade I have an extremely rare WSY0023 Fluxmeter No. 1, made in England in the 1930's it may be the only example, I cannot find another after 8+ years of searching. The Bakken Museum was all over it and wanted me to donate it when I just wanted some information. It needs a proper home in a collection. jc
